    HOW WE WORK

Graphic Design That Makes Your Brand Look Like It Means It

Enne Bi Communications has been producing graphic design for San Diego businesses since 1999. In that time we have designed brand identities for restaurants, financial advisory firms, food brands, consumer products, publications and professional services companies. What those projects share: clients who understood that design is not decoration - it is the first signal your brand sends about whether it can be trusted.

Great design does not announce itself. It makes a product look exactly the way it should, a menu feel exactly as premium as the food it describes, a logo read clearly at any size and in any context.

    Brand Identity and Logo Design

A logo is the starting point of a brand identity - not the end of it. We design logos that work as marks: simple enough to reproduce at any size, distinctive enough to be recognizable, and built with enough deliberate meaning that they hold up as your business grows. Every logo we deliver comes with multiple format options - horizontal, stacked, icon-only - and in vector format for print use at any scale.

Brand identity extends beyond the logo to colour systems, typography, pattern elements, photography style guidelines and usage rules that define how the brand appears consistently across every application. A brand identity without these components does not hold. Colours drift between vendors. Typography becomes inconsistent across platforms. The visual language that was supposed to set your brand apart ends up looking arbitrary.

We deliver complete brand identity systems - not just logo files. If you are launching or rebranding, tell us about your project and we will outline what a proper identity process looks like for your situation.

    Menu Design and Restaurant Collateral

Menu design is one of the most consequential pieces of collateral a restaurant produces. A well-designed menu directs attention, builds appetite and positions the brand. A poorly designed menu - regardless of what is in it - signals the wrong things before the first dish arrives. We have designed menus for restaurants ranging from neighbourhood casual to upscale fine dining, and we know how to calibrate the design to the experience being sold.

Beyond menus, restaurant collateral includes to-go bags, table tents, coasters, deli paper, pizza boxes, wall vinyls and window graphics. Our design and printing services handle these together - design and print under one roof means no file handoff errors and no colour surprises between what we designed and what comes off press.

    Packaging Design

Packaging has to do several jobs at once: attract attention at shelf, communicate what the product is and why it is worth buying, meet regulatory labelling requirements, and reproduce accurately across production runs. Getting one of those wrong has real consequences.

We have designed packaging for food products, specialty goods and consumer brands in San Diego. Our work for Out of Mexico covered a full product line of chile and spice products - consistent visual design across dozens of SKUs while keeping clear individual product differentiation. We coordinate print specifications with vendors, review press proofs and stay involved through production so the final product matches the approved design.

    Print Collateral and Marketing Materials

Marketing collateral covers the physical materials businesses use to promote their services: brochures, flyers, sell sheets, business cards, postcards, banners and event signage. We design all of it, and our in-house printing services mean you can take a concept from design to finished material without switching vendors.

One thing we see often: businesses with excellent service or products whose collateral does not reflect that quality. First impressions matter beyond the digital world - what you hand someone, or display in your space, is a direct statement about your standards.

    Book and Editorial Layout Design

Book design and editorial layout require a different skill set than brand or marketing design - specifically, managing long-form typography, chapter structure, image placement, front matter and print specifications across hundreds of pages without losing visual consistency.

We have designed books and publications for clients including ATS Wealth Management, for whom we designed and print-managed 2,000+ copies of their financial planning book, and Air2Air Magazine, a full aviation lifestyle publication with photography, editorial spreads and advertising pages. These are not simple projects. They require attention to print specifications, paper weight, binding method and colour management - and getting those details right is the difference between a publication that looks professional and one that does not.

Graphic Design as Part of a Complete Strategy

Design does not live in isolation. A brand identity we develop informs the visual approach to your website, which in turn shapes the creative direction of your social content and advertising. When design is disconnected from those channels - the website built by one vendor, social run by another, print handled by a third - visual inconsistency is the predictable result.

At Enne Bi, graphic design is one service within a full-service marketing operation. We can carry your brand identity through to web development, content production and print - or handle the design work independently if your other partners are already in place.

    QUESTIONS

Graphic Design Questions We Get Asked

What do you need from me to start a logo or brand identity project?

A clear brief. That means: what your business does, who your customers are, what brands you admire and why, what feeling you want your brand to project, and any visual directions you want to avoid. The more specific you can be, the more focused the initial concepts will be. We provide a creative brief questionnaire to help you organize your thinking before we start.

How many design concepts will I receive?

For logo and identity projects, we typically present two to three distinct directions in the first round - different visual approaches that each address the brief differently. This gives you real choices without the noise of a dozen variations that all look similar. From there, we refine one direction through revision rounds until it is right.

What file formats will I receive?

Vector source files (AI, EPS, SVG) for all logo work, along with PNG and PDF exports in multiple colour versions (full colour, single-colour, reverse). Print-ready PDFs for any collateral. High-resolution JPEGs for digital use. We deliver a complete file package and a brief guide on which file to use in which context.

Can you design materials that match my existing brand?

Yes. If you have an established brand identity - logo, colours, fonts - we work within that system. Provide your brand guidelines or existing files and we will design new materials consistent with what you already have. If your existing guidelines are incomplete or inconsistent, we can tighten them up as part of the project.

Ready to Build a Brand That Looks the Part?

Enne Bi has been designing for San Diego businesses since 1999 - logos, full identity systems, menus, packaging, books and publications. Tell us what you are working on and we will put together the right approach.
